The downdraft table is a large air filter, pulling contaminated air (wood dust, small particles) into the machine from its top surface and exhausting clean air out from the bottom.
Allowed materials:
Wood, MDF, some plastics, foam, plaster, cement
No metal of any kind
Basic use:
Turn on the downdraft table
Place your material to be abraded on the top surface of the machine
Abrade your material with the correct grit/tool and accessory (by hand, sanding block, powered sander)
Safety reminders:
Never put anything sharp on the downdraft table surface
Never sand metal of any kind on the downdraft table
Do not open the machine in any way while it is powered on
Finishing:
When finished, either vacuum or blow of your material while the table is still on. It is acceptable to brush visible dust into the opening on the top surface.
