Instruction

  1. Arrange objects before pouring
  2. Mixing:
    • Use One Part A and One Part B (1:1 ratio) in a mixing container
    • Mix for at least 5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of the container several times while mixing thoroughly
    • Material will initially look cloudy, but will turn clear after a few minutes of mixing
  3. Pouring: Pour directly into the container until it reaches the desired level
  4. Curing: Do not move for at least 16 hours. Ideally, let cure overnight at room temperature
  5. Finishing:
    • Clean your tools and work area of your mixture immediately
    • Fill out and display a “storage form” if you leave your project to cure where another person may encounter it.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Eye Protection: Wear safety Glasses
  • Hand Protection: Wear Vinyl gloves only. Latex gloves inhibit rubber curing* (why is there an *?)
  • Body Covering: Wear long sleeves

Engineering Controls

  • Must be used in a well-ventilated area and with proper process controls to limit accidental exposure and spillage onto the surrounding areas
  • Must be labeled clearly while curing
  • Eyewash stations must be available in the vicinity when using this product
  • Do not apply the product directly to the skin

Emergency Response

  • Eye Exposure: Flush eyes with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention
  • Skin Exposure: In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water
  • Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a physician. Seek medical attention

Storage

  • Keep container(s) tightly closed and properly labeled
  • Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from heat and direct sunlight
  • Store in approved containers
  • Limited shelf life and use as soon as possible
  • Avoid water contamination

Disposal

  • Ensure the rubber has fully cured and hardened before disposal
  • Do not pour liquid or uncured rubber down to sink drains or toilets
  • After it hardened, throw it in the landfill waste bin
